The Hoffman Estates Park District's Triphahn Center pairs two NHL-sized rinks with a fitness and senior center
The Scott R. Triphahn Community Center & Ice Arena is the cornerstone of the Hoffman Estates Park District. Its ice arena is a regional facility with two NHL-sized sheets of ice used for freestyle, figure and hockey skaters, and the TC Icebox concession stand is there to refuel hungry and thirsty skaters.
The arena says its figure skating and hockey programs are some of the finest in the Chicagoland area. On-site attendants work during public skate sessions, and the arena is on the Live Barn video streaming service.
The same building houses the Hap & Jan Wittkamp Senior Center and the park district's administrative offices. Through the year the Triphahn Center hosts themed skating events, including Spooky Skate and Skate with Santa.
