Rolling Meadows Park District's NHL-size rink; former home of the Chicago Blaze and the junior Chicago Hitmen
West Meadows Ice Arena is one of two ice rinks in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, and the Rolling Meadows Park District owns and operates it. The building is a multi-purpose arena with one NHL-size indoor sheet that carries hockey, figure skating and open skating. It is the home of the Rolling Meadows Renegades, and the Rolling Meadows Adult Hockey League plays here as well.
Two teams from outside the town's own programs have used the arena as home ice. The Chicago Blaze of the All American Hockey League began play in the 2008-09 season with West Meadows as their home rink, and the team folded on December 11, 2009. The Chicago Hitmen, a junior organization fielding teams in the North American Hockey League and the North American 3 Hockey League, called the arena home during the 2010-11 season before moving to the Fox Valley Ice Arena.
The newest change is off the ice. In March 2026 construction was underway on The Bays, built in the former hockey shooting gallery, where a wall was removed to open a lounge and seating area that will eventually offer food and beverage service. On the ice, summer brings lunchtime public skate sessions and hockey camps, and in December 2023 a holiday skate brought Santa, Frosty, Olaf and the Grinch to the arena.
