The Skydome: a 3,000-seat arena with an ice rink

Planet Ice Coventry is the ice rink inside the Coventry Skydome, a 3,000-seat multi-purpose arena. Planet Ice operates the rink, which is the home of the Coventry Blaze, who play in the Elite League, the top level of ice hockey in the UK. The arena also hosts classes from the International School of Skating.

The Skydome has also staged other events. It hosted the FIBA European Basketball Championship qualifier between England and Italy on 20 November 2002, which Italy won 97-39. Not long after it opened, it hosted several large professional wrestling shows and became a fixture on the British wrestling circuit: The Wrestling Channel's International Showdown with the Frontier Wrestling Alliance and a WWE event in 2005, TNA and Pro Wrestling Noah in 2008, and WWE's NXT UK brand in 2019.

It also puts on occasional music concerts and performances.
