Leduc's 309,000-square-foot recreation centre with three 200-by-85-foot arenas, opened in fall 2009.
The Leduc Recreation Centre opened in the fall of 2009, a 309,000-square-foot building that put three NHL-size arenas under one roof with an aquatic centre, an eight-sheet curling rink and twin multi-use field houses. Since 2022 the curling club inside has run Curling Stadium Leduc, which broadcasts every game played there.
The main sheet, the Aspen Custom Trailers Arena, measures 200 by 85 feet and seats 1,074, with room for 119 more standing. The twin Wilhauk Beef Jerky and Chemco Arenas share the same dimensions, seat up to 300 a side plus about 100 more on tip-and-roll bleachers, and are set up for para ice hockey.
Their slab was thickened to carry vehicles for trade shows. Across the three sheets, the City runs drop-in skating for all ages and skill levels.
