Sissach received an artificial ice rink in 1967. It was roofed in 2005 and rebuilt and renovated in 2018 as a closed building, after voters approved the project, which covered the refrigeration plant and the extension to a closed ice hall, in a referendum on 27 November 2016. The Sport Sissach AG is responsible for operating it.
The EHC Zunzgen-Sissach plays on the ice, the curling season runs from 14 September 2026 to 21 March 2027, and the main season with public skating starts on 19 September 2026, after pre-season ice until 18 September.
Ice discos are held on five dates in the season, among them 30 October and 27 November 2026, and summer ice is planned for 2027 from 17 July to 20 August.
