An 1,800 m² international-size rink in Daxing, with public skating times posted every week
The Daxing District Ice Sports Center has opened for a trial run as a district sports venue of about 30,000 square metres, more than a third of it green space, built to host events and to serve everyday fitness and youth training. Its 1,800-square-metre international-size rink is the only professional rink of its kind in the south of the city, and it can stage ice hockey and figure skating competitions in front of more than 400 spectators.
Next to the ice, a 4,000-square-metre sports hall is open for basketball and badminton. The rink's public skating sessions change from week to week, and the centre posts the new times every week, so skaters can check before they come; the public sessions are open to members and non-members alike, while other blocks are kept for members, classes and hockey.
