Berlin's 1,800 m² open-air rink

Eisbahn Lankwitz is an open-air rink with 1,800 square metres of ice, where skaters share space with people playing ice hockey. The operator says it has welcomed ice fans from November to mid-March for generations, and the company behind it is Ice Team Eisflächenbetriebs GmbH.

Hockey has a firm place here: the rink gives more than 13 teams somewhere to train, and a drop-in hockey session for anyone who turns up is part of the programme. The ice also hosts the Sunday sessions of the Eislaufschule, a skating school for people who want to improve.

Rental skates come from a stock of 700 pairs, for figure skating or ice hockey, and the rink has two ice-stock lanes with full equipment. Children's birthday parties are held with a laid table in the Eis-Casino.
