The Patinoire de Dreux opened at the end of May 2024, with an inauguration show by Philippe Candeloro and his company on 31 May. It stands in the Otium leisure complex on the Livraindières zone. Candeloro, who consulted on the project, described a rink for leisure skating, ice-sport clubs, shows and competitions, with 1,000 seats and fully equipped changing rooms. He also said that, unlike rinks around Paris, Dreux would stay open all summer.
The rink advertises ice of international dimensions. The hockey club Les Monarques and the figure-skating club Dreux Royal Skating are based there. Dreux Royal Skating is run by former high-level athletes and is affiliated to the Centre-Val de Loire league of the Fédération Française des Sports de Glace.
The rink also stages shows. Its Christmas production, Le Grand Atelier du Père Noël, ran on 20 December 2025, opened by two numbers from Dreux Royal Skating and the École de glace.
