A rink in the lights of the Königsallee, with a leaner ice surface
Kö on Ice returns each pre-Christmas season to the heart of Düsseldorf on the Königsallee, from early November to early January. Big or small, pro or beginner, everyone gets an unforgettable pre-Christmas experience on and around the ice, and the site is billed as a sea of lights.
The organisers took numerous measures to make a visit as safe and pleasant as possible, including the Füchschen-Alm on two floors. To protect the environment and for reasons of energy policy the real ice surface has been reduced, and the Eisstock area moved forward towards the Theodor-Körner-Straße.
The new Eisstock lane, which uses a plastic surface instead of ice, uses no energy and still offers plenty of fun, and the whole site stays open into the early evening every day of the run.
