Ice hall opened in September 2009 after 30 years on the town agenda, with a ceiling harness track
Falkenberg's ice hall was inaugurated in September 2009, after an ice hall had been on the municipal agenda for more than 30 years. The first spade went in a year and a half earlier. The stands were full when the ribbon was cut and the figure skaters of the future took to the ice, and local skaters no longer had to travel to Halmstad to train.
When work began in 2008 the municipality had no clubs in either ice hockey or figure skating. In October 2019 the hall inaugurated fall-protection equipment: a harness fixed to a round track in the ceiling lets skaters move without falling and hurting themselves, so that anyone can skate.
The project was a joint effort by Falkenbergs konståkningsklubb, the association for children and young people with mobility impairments (RBU) in Halland and FUB Falkenberg.
