Froideville's covered municipal ice rink, inaugurated in November 2025 and run with the Nordic centre

La Patinoire in Froideville is, in its own words, the essential ice-sports site of the Gros-de-Vaud, serving beginners and experienced skaters, with specific slots for leisure skating, figure skating and hockey. The covered rink has 390 square metres of ice, and its first season began with an inauguration on Saturday 8 November 2025, organised by the municipality.

The 2025/26 programme included an introduction to broomball with the Swiss Broomball Association on 23 November, an evening Eisstock tournament run by the volunteer firefighters' association and a fluorescent disco for a small New Year on 10 January. Eisstock, which the rink calls pétanque on ice, is a winter sport with points in common with curling.

Under the umbrella of the Froideville Nordic Centre, a figure-skating course is also offered to skaters from the age of eleven.
