Open-air artificial ice stadium in Fürstenfeldbruck, in use since 1972 after a club-built natural rink
Currently out of season The AmperOase says the open-air Eisstadion runs from about the end of October to mid-March depending on the weather and that the 2025/26 season ended on 15 March 2026; no 2026/27 dates are posted yet (checked 3 October 2026). Official schedule update
The ice stadium in Fürstenfeldbruck grew out of the EV Fürstenfeldbruck, founded in 1956, whose members gave up their free time to build a natural ice stadium. Artificial ice arrived in 1972 and ended the time-consuming preparation of natural ice, which made the club less dependent on the weather. Members began at once to open the sport to children, and the rink today is a 30 by 60 metre open ice surface.
A roof has long been a hope. A roof donated from Nuremberg and years of effort could have paid off in 1996, but the dream was not realised and the stadium stayed open to the sky.
The Eis- und Rollsportclub Fürstenfeldbruck, which split from the town's skating association in 1974, calls the stadium its home port and has grown to 300 active members, including the synchronized skating groups Ice Bees and Bumblebees. The open ice has been a backdrop for its ice galas, among them Starlight Express and König der Löwen, though changeable weather sometimes causes trouble.
