Artificial ice since 1987-88 on the ground of Pinkpop's first 17 editions, rebuilt with a new ice hall.
Glanerbrook lies in Geleen's Burgemeester Damenpark, and the ground under its ice track is the cradle of the Pinkpop festival, which held its first 17 editions here from 1970. Once the festival had moved, an artificial ice track was built in 1987-88; before that the cycling track was flooded in winter for skating on natural ice. The 400-metre track was renewed in 2014, and the 500-metre cycling track around it dates in its present form from 22 April 2001.
The complex has pools, sports halls, a cycling track and an ice hall with a 30 by 60 metre hockey rink. The ice hockey club Laco Eaters Limburg and the skating club Limburgse Schaatsvrienden are based here. In spring 2022 the park also sheltered about 350 Ukrainian refugees and 200 asylum seekers for two months.
After years of discussion the Sittard-Geleen council decided in December 2020 to rebuild the centre. The plans covered the skating and cycling tracks and moved the old hockey hall to a new building with stands for 1,200, and in 2026 the town describes the park as taking shape with a brand-new ice hall and a covered skating track.
