The smaller ice next to the Merkur Eisstadion

Eishalle B is the newer hall between the Stadion Graz Liebenau and the Merkur Eisstadion, where there was once an open ice surface among the playing fields. Its ice measures 60 by 30 metres, competition size, and the hall is open all year for training by clubs and elite athletes.

The big Merkur Eisstadion next door was built from 1961 to 1966 to plans by the Ilgerl-Peneff-Walch office, and little there recalls the old days since its 2016 renovation. It has been home to ATSE Graz since 1964, to the hockey section of GAK until 1976, later to EC Graz and now to the Graz 99ers.

In June 2017 the International Skating Union awarded the 2020 European Figure Skating Championships to Graz, with the Eisstadion Graz-Liebenau as the venue.
