A timber-roofed hall for public skating, hockey and figure skating, run by the town's FSK company
The Pharmpur EISARENA in Königsbrunn is the town's ice hall, run by the Freizeit-, Sportstätten- und Kulturgesellschaft Königsbrunn. The operator describes it as a place of fun and action for the whole family, with everything from public skating and the ice disco to ice-hockey games, figure-skating competitions, ice-stock tournaments and other events. It adds that those who want to become champions practise hard here.
Each season the ice is built up again over several days. First the concrete floor is cooled down, then layers of water are applied and freeze one after another, a company puts on a special mixture of water and lime that gives the surface its white colour, and the lines of the hockey field and the advertising are laid on and fixed with water mist. More layers of water follow until the final ice thickness of about 5 cm is reached.
The hall also runs a skating school, where beginners and advanced skaters learn the basics of skating playfully with care and patience.

Public skating costs 6,00 € for adults and 4,50 € reduced (20 percent off for students, trainees, holders of the Ehrenamtskarte and others); a family card is 15,00 €, a companion pays 1,50 € and the ice disco costs 6,50 €.
