A 1976 artificial ice stadium in Lechbruck am See, home of the ERC Lechbruck

The Lechparkstadion opened in December 1976 as an artificial ice stadium and has seen many big games; after many rebuilds it is now, in the club's words, a pretty ice arena in the centre of Lechbruck am See. It holds 1,000 spectators, and the record crowd was 1,500 for the regional league top match between TSV Lechbruck and ERC Ingolstadt in 1979/80, after which both teams were promoted to the Oberliga Süd. The ERC Lechbruck calls it a cult stadium of the old school, and its big aim is to put a roof over it so that ice sport can continue in Lechbruck.

The ERC has about 400 members, 160 of them playing hockey, including some 110 children and young people in six youth teams. Public skating runs almost every day, with a disco skate every week for teenagers and the young at heart, a stick skate for hockey among friends, and ice-stock by arrangement through the tourist office. The stadium is open from mid-October to the beginning of March.
