A recreational-sport ice complex in Örebro with a figure-skating jump harness in its newest hall
Trängens IP is not an elite arena but a sports ground for recreational sport, mainly for children and young people. The ground dates back to the 1930s and has been extended step by step; it is heavily booked, and several schools with a sports profile hold daytime lessons there.
There are two ice halls with artificial ice. Hall B has the changing rooms and a café run by the teams of Örebro Hockey Ungdom. The newly built hall A was equipped for the special needs of figure skating, but ice hockey can also train and play matches there; it has a full-size ice surface and a simple wooden stand for 300 people.
Hall A's NoFall jump harness had until then been installed in only two other ice halls in Sweden. Curling has been played in Örebro since the early 1920s.

For most of the times the ice is divided by a board so that skaters using sticks, pucks or balls are on one half and the others on the other; always wear a helmet, adapt speed, no shoes on the ice and stay off when the ice machine is out.
