Home of the Lakers, rebuilt in 2005-06
The Eishalle Lido opened in 1987 and was completely rebuilt in 2005 and 2006, after voters in both communes approved the credits on 25 September 2005. The SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers have played in the rebuilt hall since the 2006/07 season. It carried the name Diners Club Arena from 2005 to 2016, is now the St. Galler Kantonalbank Arena and holds 6,100 spectators.
Beside the arena, the Eisanlagen Lido have an outdoor ice field and Ocean-Ice, a synthetic field for skating. The outdoor field can be limited by weather and bigger events, for example Friday evening games of the Lakers. On a few Friday nights it turns into an Eiszauber or Winterzauber with decorations, and on Sunday mornings it hosts a family session of free hockey, the Family-Chneble.
