A 30 by 60 m main rink and a 24 by 40 m sub rink opened by Tachihi Holdings with Mao Asada
MAO RINK was opened by Tachihi Holdings together with the professional figure skater Mao Asada, so that people can skate all year round. It follows the company's earlier Tachikawa-Tachihi developments, from the LaLaport Tachikawa Tachihi complex in 2015 to the GREEN SPRINGS complex in 2020.
The main rink measures 30 by 60 metres, the same size as the rinks used at the Olympics and world championships. The 24 by 40 metre sub rink looks out on a row of cherry trees and is described as friendly to families and beginners.
Asada's stated aim is to produce figure skaters who go out into the world from MAO RINK. The rink reaches its second anniversary in November 2026 and marks it on 14 and 15 November with a One Coin Day of cut-price public skating.
