A 16 by 32 metre hall built by a youth hockey club

Valsätra ishall, earlier called Gordon Nice Ice Arena, is a mini hall of 16 by 32 metres with boards. Uppsala Young Hockey Club, formed in spring 2008, had the work on a skating hall called Nice Ice at Valsätra IP under way in October 2014, and a local newspaper reports that it built its own ice hall there as late as 2015.

The idea was to widen children's chances to skate and play hockey informally in Uppsala. At the time all of the city's ice halls were gathered in the Gränby area, where public skating times were very limited.

The hall has since been transferred to the municipal company Arenor och Fastigheter AB and folded into the other municipal sports facilities. Valsätra IP was renovated in 2024 and 2025 and its half-size ice hall is listed among the grounds' facilities.
