Ice Emotion has run its palaghiaccio in Oggiona con Santo Stefano, near Varese, since 2012. It describes itself as a place where a skating school, an ice rink and a sports club are brought together in a single organisation.
The building covers about 1,400 square metres around a 20 by 30 metre rink used for the school, for training, for sport and for free skating. It also holds a dance and fitness room for off-ice preparation and a specialist shop selling skates, clothing, accessories and competition bodysuits. A refreshment point serves drinks and snacks before or after skating, and the hire skates are checked and sharpened regularly.
The school's programmes run from first steps on the ice to more advanced courses, organised by age, level and goals.
