Sports park of 1976 in Dielsdorf, ice halls to be rebuilt after a 2025 vote

The Sportanlage Erlen in Dielsdorf opened in 1976, planned originally with an open-air pool and an open ice rink, and over the years it was repaired, rebuilt and extended as needed. Its ice hall is covered by a tent roof, which is unsuitable for year-round use, and the clubs that train there have more than 600 members.

The operator and the clubs decided that the Eispark Erlen would host no international or national-league ice hockey; the need is for regional first-league and junior games. On 28 September 2025 all three communes behind the facility, Dielsdorf, Niederhasli and Steinmaur, approved the renovation package. After the pools had already been renovated, it provides a new building for two ice fields.

The hall's ice can be rented by clubs and private groups, and residents of the three communes pay the residents' rate.
