Public skating at Icehouse Aue: the next 7 days
Currently out of season The rink's page says the hall opens from early November to the end of February, but it shows only last season's dates ('Saisonende ist der 01.03.2026', 'Saisoneröffnung ist am 18.11.2025', 'Aktuell keine Saison'), so no 2026/27 opening date or sessions are listed here: check the rink's page. Ice in a former Wismut works hall in Aue
The Icehouse occupies a former works hall of the Wismut's mining-equipment plant (BBA) in Aue. Where equipment for the Wismut's mines was once produced, there is now an artificial ice surface of roughly 22 by 56 metres, and the operator says the hall's size and acoustics leave a lasting impression.
Columns standing in the ice rule out ice hockey, so the hall is given over to recreational skating, which the Icehouse describes as a meeting point for all age groups. It is a business unit of Nickelhütte Aue GmbH, and its winter, from early November to the end of February, is summed up on its site as winter in the Erzgebirge equals ice time in Aue. At the start of each season the operator says it is glad to welcome skaters back to the Icehouse in Aue.
