The Diakonie's rink in Zwickau's Muldepark

The Eisbahn in Zwickau's Muldepark is run by the Diakonie Westsachsen Stiftung. Before the 2025/26 season about 15 Diakonie staff and helpers from partner firms spent eight weeks getting the grounds ready, and unusually warm weather still delayed the opening.

That season the rink presented a new ice glider, a sturdy device with a metal rail, an adjustable lock and two poles for moving across the ice. It was developed by the former luge Olympic champion Hans Rinn, and Sparkasse Zwickau paid for it. Besides skating, two weather-protected lanes are used for ice stock shooting, and a small Winterland with six stalls was another novelty.

The rink's calendar lists party evenings such as Party on Ice, Weihnachtsmann on Ice, a surprise party and Party on Ice Special.
