Home rink of the Curling Club of Houston

Bellerive Ice Center is the home rink of the Curling Club of Houston, a club that has run curling in the city since 1973, and the club calls it Houston's home for curling.

The ice is set up for curling in a way few skating rinks are. There are now five full curling sheets, with hoglines, centerlines and edge lines painted onto the ice. The arena floor has been re-levelled, and the rink's new resurfacing machine carries a laser-level system, which the club credits with the flattest ice it has seen in years. The building is also home to figure skating coaches, and Sled Hockey Saturday puts sled hockey on the ice.

The curlers here compete nationally. Both the men's and women's teams from the Curling Club of Houston have won gold medals at the Arena National Championships, the national event for clubs that play on rented ice in skating rinks, and the women's team brought home silver from the 2024 Arena Nationals.
