The Lewisville community arena renamed for Norm Crossman and Harold Kay
The Crossman Community Centre-Kay Arena upholds the ideals of the original Kay Arena, built more than 34 years ago and the pride of the Lewisville community. That arena was constructed as part of a community effort and let minor hockey, figure skating and community groups come together under one roof.
The new building is named for two Lewisville figures: Norm Crossman, a former Mayor of Lewisville and Ward 1 councillor who gave over 41 years to public service, and Harold Kay, a former Deputy Mayor and Village Administrator who worked to give the community's youth a place to spend their recreational time. Today it features an ice surface, a gymnasium, a walking track and community meeting spaces, with hockey, ringuette and figure skating in winter and lacrosse, ball hockey and volleyball in summer.
