Named for the Canadian general E. L. M. "Tommy" Burns

General Burns Park Outdoor Rink is the community rink in General Burns Park, in the Nepean neighbourhood of Parkwood Hills between Fisher Avenue and Merivale Road. The park is named for Edson Louis Millard "Tommy" Burns, a Canadian general born in Westmount, Quebec, on June 17, 1897, who died in Manotick, Ontario, on September 13, 1985.

The ice is classed as a rink with puddle, with seasonal boards and permanent lights, and it is made and maintained by the community rather than the City. A community building serves as the rink's facility, and the park is also home to the General Burns Community Centre. The General Burns Community Association draws its members from Parkwood Hills along with Stewart Farm, Borden Farm, Fisher Glen, CitiPlace and part of Carleton Heights.

In the 2023-24 winter the rink was open on February 2, 2024, weather permitting. The same park holds an outdoor public swimming pool, the rink's warm-weather neighbour.
