Community-maintained rink run for the City of Ottawa by an association incorporated in August 1988
For the latest skating dates, check the rink’s official information.
Tanglewood Park's outdoor rink is run by the Tanglewood Hillsdale Community Association, which manages the Tanglewood Park Community Centre, its outdoor rinks and its basketball and road hockey courts on behalf of the City of Ottawa. The association was incorporated in August 1988 to represent and advance the interests of neighbourhood residents.
The ice is a rink with a puddle. The boards go up for the season, while the lights are permanent. The community, not the City, maintains the ice. The rink is supervised, and there is a public change space on site.
Tanglewood Park itself has two play structures, a tennis court, a ball diamond and basketball and ball hockey courts, and it sits close to the Howard Darwin Centennial Arena.
