Oakville's first community centre, with a twin-pad arena whose B Pad measures 200 by 100 feet
River Oaks Community Centre was Oakville's first community centre. Its arena is a twin pad: A Pad measures 190 by 85 feet, and B Pad is the bigger sheet at 200 by 100 feet, ten feet longer and fifteen feet wider. The two rinks share the building with a fitness centre and an indoor track.
Off the ice, the River Oaks Mature Adults Club, known as ROMAC, runs drop-in activities for ages 50 and up in the building. Skate Oakville was housed at River Oaks in earlier years; the club has since moved to its current home at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex.
The town's 2025 accessibility plan update set out the conversion of a rink changeroom into a fully accessible washroom. As of fall 2026, Rink A is closed for capital improvements and renovations and is targeted to reopen on October 12.
