Home of the Oakville Blades and Skate Oakville

Sixteen Mile Sports Complex opened its ice rinks in 2010 on Neyagawa Boulevard in Oakville. The building was designed primarily for ice sports: hockey, speed skating and figure skating.

There are four sheets. Arena 1 is an Olympic-size pad, 200 by 100 feet, with seating for 1,500; Arena 2 is NHL-size with sledge hockey benches, and Arenas 3 and 4 are NHL-size as well. The Oakville Blades, the Oakville Rangers and Skate Oakville all call the complex home and keep their offices inside the building. Skate Oakville runs its figure skating and competitive skating programs here from its main office.

The building has hosted national events: the 2021 Masters curling tournament from October 19 to 24, 2021, the 2023 PointsBet Invitational curling tournament that fall, and the 2024 Centennial Cup, Canada's junior A hockey championship, from May 9 to 19, 2024. The largest change came on May 30, 2026, when the town opened an expansion built onto the original rinks: a 65,000-square-foot community centre with a fitness centre and gymnasium, alongside a new library branch and park. Thousands of residents came out for the opening day.
