Port Perry's arena since 1977

Scugog Township built the Scugog Community Recreation Centre in 1977 to replace Port Perry's old downtown arena. The original building held a single ice pad and six dressing rooms. A community centre was added in 1995, and in 2004 a second ice pad was attached to the complex.

Today the centre has two ice rinks, which serve as floor pads in summer, along with three meeting rooms, a banquet hall and the Scugog Sports Hall of Fame. The arena is home to North Durham Minor Hockey, the Central Ontario Wolves and the Port Perry LumberJacks. The LumberJacks played as the Port Perry MoJacks from 1980 until they took their current name in 2022, and the club has won league championships in 1988, 1992, 2006, 2011 and 2016.
