Built by the Canadian forces at the former CFB Baden-Söllingen
The ice hall at the Baden-Airpark was built, according to the club, by the Canadian forces stationed on the former Canadian military airfield CFB Baden-Söllingen, with the small ice surface usual in Canada that still exists. Their team played as the Baden Raiders, and a Canadian hockey league started at the airfield in 1967.
The Eis-Sport-Verein Hügelsheim moved here from Rastatt for the 1992/93 season and played before up to 1,400 spectators. After the ESV's insolvency in June 2009, the new ESC Hügelsheim 09 reopened the hall on 10 October 2010 after extensive renovation and has owned it since 2011.
The Baden Rhinos, the club's men's team, won the Landesliga Baden-Württemberg title in their first season in 2010/11. The club lists figure skating, school winter-sports days, family days, public skating, a skating school and Eis-Discos among the hall's regular offers.
