One of Europe's largest indoor rinks, inside an industrial landmark

From late November to mid-January the Jahrhunderthalle Bochum turns into one of the largest indoor ice rinks in Europe. The EisSalon Ruhr gives beginners and professionals a skating experience in front of an impressive industrial backdrop.

Special morning sessions for school classes and groups make it an outing for young and old, and the cosy food area serves regional snacks and hot drinks for warming up after skating. Children who are still wobbly can use skating aids shaped like penguins and little elves.

Besides open skating the hall hosts Eisstockschießen and company Christmas parties on the ice. The programme is run by the Bochumer Veranstaltungs-GmbH, which operates the hall, and tickets are sold online as well as at the box office in the foyer.
