An older hall that Tårnby decided to close in 2022 and that Copenhagen helped keep running.
Kastrup Skøjtehal stands on Røllikevej in Kastrup, next to Kastrup Svømmehal, Kastrup Curlinghal and Kastrup Idrætsanlæg. Copenhagen Municipality's own committee papers call it a hall of older date, facing extensive maintenance in the coming years. Tårnby Kommune decided in 2022 to close it, but after talks Copenhagen set aside money to rent half of the ice time for its own clubs, and, as of a March 2024 committee paper, Tårnby's two skating clubs and Copenhagen's four share the ice. The same papers weigh a new joint ice hall in Tårnby, which they expect to cost 160 to 175 million kroner to build.
Amager Ishockey Club, the Amar Jets, describes itself as the island's tradition-rich ice hockey club and trains in the hall. Tårnby Skøjte Klub, founded on 10 May 1985, organises the international FlyverCup each year, which the municipality calls the biggest private competition in Denmark.
