Public skating at Kunsteisbahn Hohenems: the next 7 days
Currently out of season The rink's pages print a weekly public-skating timetable that was last updated on 2 October 2022, and the tourism page says only that the rink opens again 'voraussichtlich im Oktober'. No 2026/27 opening date or hours are posted, so no sessions are listed here until they are. Official schedule update
Hohenems' Kunsteisbahn in the Herrenried is an open-air arena, built in 1981 with two guest dressing rooms, a referee room and one for the home club. It is open from October to early March and is used for ice hockey, figure skating, public skating, tournaments and beginner courses.
In 2018 a new dressing-room wing opposite the stand added two permanent rooms for SC Hohenems, two guest rooms, sanitary facilities, a store and an office, and the boards were replaced with Plexiglas panels and nets to current IIHF standards. The spectator stand was fully roofed in 2019.
Hockey teams and figure skaters also use the ice for training and competitions, and the traditional Besenturnier (broom tournament) closes the season each March. When hockey is on, the stadium stays open but the ice is reserved for the teams.
