Saxony-Anhalt's only ice sports hall

The Sparkassen-Eisdom in Halle (Saale) calls itself Saxony-Anhalt's only ice sports hall. Its ice surface measures about 1,800 square metres, 30 by 60 metres, and the hall is run by MEC Halle 04 UG. It is tempered rather than cold, though the hall still advises warm clothing.

The Saale Bulls play their home games here on Tuesdays, Fridays or Sundays, and between the public sessions the hall is used for training and matches of the ice sports clubs. A skating party takes place every Saturday, and rental skates are kept in sizes 25 to 50.

The hall also stages other events. The Oper Halle, the Saale Bulls GmbH and Stadtmarketing Halle (Saale) have announced a Christmas sing-along there, in what they call the new Sparkassen-Eisdom.
