Built in 2010, run by a support association

The Eissportarena in Lindau was built by the Bäderbetriebe Lindau, with the first spade on 28 June 2010 and construction from July to early October 2010. The Kuhn Bau firm from Bad Wurzach did the project planning, and the hall was planned for 1,100 standing and 150 seated spectators.

The BPM-Arena is a sports facility run by the Förderverein Eissportarena Lindau. The EV Lindau Islanders ice-hockey club, the Eiskunstlaufverein Lindau and many hobby teams play and train there, and the Young Islanders offer a learn-to-skate programme for children aged 3 to 8.

After a record season of 73,883 visitors in the winter of 2024/25, the Förderverein set out to at least match that number. The 2025/26 public season ended on Sunday 8 March 2026 with a free-entry afternoon.
