Skating track around the Silvretta Therme, framed by LED art and a CO2-cooled ice plant
Currently out of season The Silvretta Therme's own page says the Ischgl ice rink is expected to open in mid-December 2026 and posts winter 2026/27 entry prices; no exact opening date or daily hours are given for the rink. Official schedule update
The ice rink at the Silvretta Therme in Ischgl is a skating track that winds around the spa building with views of the Tyrolean Alps. LED elements by the artist Georg Salner, who comes from the Paznaun village of Galtür, frame the ice surface.
The directors of Silvrettaseilbahn AG opened the thermal baths on 8 December, and the skating rink followed less than two weeks later. Curling lanes and a lounge for spectators round out an offer that is unusual for a spa.
The modern ice plant was designed with sustainability in mind and runs on carbon dioxide instead of ammonia. The same system supplies cold for the ice and high-temperature heat, so heat recovery can be put to full use.
