1,800 square metres of ice, run by the city utility
The Kunsteisbahn Ludwigsburg is run by the Stadtwerke Ludwigsburg-Kornwestheim, which opened its 46th winter season in 2024 and starts the 48th in October 2026. The ice surface covers 1,800 square metres, enough for beginners and experienced skaters to share without getting in each other's way.
Since autumn 2023 the rink has had LED lighting and a new white barrier, which the city's tourist office says make every Eisdisco a highlight. The discos take place several times a month with changing music, and the Kinderdisco is meant for families with younger children. In 2024 the ice was built up layer by layer over five days, and the rink keeps 930 rental skates.
The city's tourist office presents the rink as a winter leisure activity for every age group, with a bistro where companions can wait over a cup of cocoa.
