A winter ice field in front of Vaduz town hall

Vaduz on Ice is a temporary outdoor ice field on the Rathausplatz, in front of the town hall in the Städtle of Vaduz. The association Standortmarketing Vaduz started the project, and its eighth season opened on 6 November 2020. The field is open for about 60 days each winter.

The Vadozner Alphötta, a rustic wooden chalet, stands beside the ice as the gathering place. On weekday mornings the field is reserved for school classes, and the EVV Vaduz skating club teaches beginners and more advanced children during the season.

Each season brings an opening evening, the traditional Vaduz Christmas market weekend in December, and a skating show by members of the Eislaufclub Vaduz.
