A hall for families, discos and para ice hockey in the Oberbergisches Land
The Eissporthalle Wiehl runs a lively weekly programme of public sessions: a Kids Time on Ice and a children's disco in which adults may skate too, a Happy Hour on Wednesday evenings, an Eis-Disco on Saturday evenings and a long Maxilaufzeit on Sundays. A DJ provides the sound, and families and friends skate together.
The hall also hosts special events, from a Nikolaus on the ice to a large party on the ice for the finale of the Radio Berg Erlebniswochen on 2 October, and recent news mentions an international para ice-hockey weekend against Japan.
Food and drinks are sold on site in the Pistenbar. On public holidays the hall runs its long afternoon session, and it is closed on Christmas Eve, on 31 December and on Weiberfastnacht.
