Eisring Süd on Windtenstraße in Favoriten opened on 8 December 1982 with 5,500 square metres of ice in total. It is a sports centre of the ASKÖ, with roller sports, a table tennis hall and tennis courts alongside the ice, and its 400-metre speed skating oval was the only one in eastern Austria. In the 1980s it had its heyday, and speed skater Emese Hunyady took her training laps on the big round track before winning Olympic gold for Austria in 1994.
The complex was rebuilt in a general renovation that ran for about three years. The outdoor ice and the hall ice were restored and a Sport and Fun hall was added; the outdoor rink reopened on 1 December 2021, when pandemic rules still kept the hall closed. The outdoor surface measures 30 by 60 metres and the ice in the hall covers 1,800 square metres. The old building was said to radiate the charm of the 1970s, and the new one has ten changing rooms for club sport, so ice hockey clubs can train here again.
