Public skating at Eisbahn Wädi: the next 7 days
Currently out of season The Eisbahn Wädi page gives the 2026/27 season as 7 November 2026 to 21 February 2027 and prints the weekly opening hours from that date; the first public session is on 7 November 2026. Checked on 4 October 2026. Official schedule update
The Eisbahn Wädi on Wädenswil's Seeplatz is run by the non-profit Verein Eisbahn Wädenswil, whose seven board members work as volunteers. In the winter of 2018/19 the rink could not be set up for financial and staffing reasons, and in November 2019, under a new operating concept and with the city's approval, it reopened with a new Rondodrom, a glass dome that holds the skate counter, the till and a kiosk. The rink celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2021/22.
In 2022/23 the energy crisis led the association to run a shorter season rather than none, with all its electricity covered by solar certificates from EGZ Zimmerberg. A Pinguino ice-resurfacing machine has kept the ice quality high since 2023/24, and outside public hours the ice is rented for ice stock shooting and ice hockey.
