Two ice fields, one of them roofed, in Wettingen's Tägerhard sports centre, which opened in 1974
The Kunsteisbahn in Wettingen belongs to the Tägerhard sports centre, the Tägi, which opened in 1974 and calls itself one of the largest Swiss sport and leisure centres. Besides the rink it has an indoor pool, an open-air pool, a minigolf course, a solarium and several halls. On two ice fields, covered or under the open sky, skaters get sporting fun for big and small through the winter months.
In 2012 voters of the largest municipality in Aargau rejected a credit to expand and renovate the centre. The revised project of 2014 kept the two ice fields and roofed one of them, without building a full ice hall. In 2017 the municipal council noted that during the renovation of the KEBA in Aarau more training sessions had been held at the Tägi.
