A covered, sunken winter rink on Morris Bicentennial Plaza beside Gainbridge Fieldhouse
Currently out of season The Elevance Health Rink returns to Morris Bicentennial Plaza each winter, but its page still shows the 2025-26 season (November 21, 2025 - January 25, 2026) and the 2026-27 dates and hours are not posted yet. Official schedule update
The Elevance Health Rink sits on Morris Bicentennial Plaza outside Gainbridge Fieldhouse, a downtown Indy ice skating tradition that entered its third year in 2025. A covered pavilion and sunken rink keep skaters out of the elements no matter the weather. The rink's operators say it has become a festive gathering place in the heart of the city, where families, friends and visitors can enjoy the downtown atmosphere, make memories and celebrate the season together.
Events punctuate the season: an opening day with Boomer, Freddy Fever and the Pacemates and live music from DJ Lockstar, a pre-Thanksgiving glow skate called Cosmic Skating, and visits from Santa, Mrs. Claus and their reindeer. A Martin Luther King Jr. Day skate marks the holiday, and Pacers fans have been offered a game-day ticket promotion.
Visitors are welcome to explore the Sphere and admire the Legends Mural on the plaza even if they never lace up.
