The fairgrounds rinks where Wayne Gretzky played his first pro games, with public skating back since 2024.
TPH Indy Rinks, a division of Total Package Hockey, manages the ice at the Indiana State Fairgrounds: the rink in the Pop Weaver Youth Pavilion, built as part of the Coliseum renovation and opened in July 2013, and the ice in the Corteva Coliseum, where it brought public skating back for the 2024-25 season after a 10-year break.
The 6,500-seat Coliseum, originally the Indiana State Fairgrounds Coliseum and later the Pepsi Coliseum, reopened on April 24, 2014, after a 17-month, $53 million renovation, and it took the Corteva name under an agreement reached in November 2024.
The building has deep hockey roots. The American Hockey League's Indianapolis Capitals played there from 1939 to 1952, and it is where Wayne Gretzky played his first professional games, alongside future Hall of Famer Mark Messier.
