Milton’s newest recreation centre, opened in 2019
Sherwood Community Centre is the Town of Milton’s newest recreation facility, on Main Street West. Its two arenas opened on September 21, 2019, ahead of the rest of the building so the ice season could start on time; the multipurpose rooms followed the week of September 27 and the library on September 30.
The building pairs a twin-pad arena and roomy changing rooms with a lap and play pool, a fitness studio and a branch library. Both arena surfaces take ice or floor sports, and the rinks stream on LiveBarn.
Its ice was among the Town arenas open for rentals again in September 2020. Drop-in family, adult and public skates, shinny and Stick ’N Puck all run here on the Town’s calendar.
