Home of the GOHL's Fort Erie Meteors

The Fort Erie Leisureplex was built in 1996 with two ice pads, banquet halls and the Fort Erie Sports Gallery and Research Centre, which the Heritage Arts Legacy of Fort Erie operates. The main Kinsmen Arena is an Olympic-size rink with 1,600 seats in six rows, and a walking track runs around the perimeter of its ice pad.

The Kinsmen Arena is home to the Fort Erie Meteors of the Greater Ontario Hockey League's Eastern conference. The franchise was founded in 1957 as the Frontiers, played for a time as the Autos and became the Meteors in 1971, and its alumni include former NHL players Randy Burridge, Stan Drulia, Jarrod Skalde and Andre Deveaux. A trophy case marks the team's 2024 Golden Horseshoe Conference championship, the last one before the league reorganized.

Painted portraits of Fort Erie's greatest athletes cover the arena's northwest wall, and its northeast end displays the Fort Erie Sports Wall of Fame, whose members include Pierre Pilote and Randy Burridge.
