The historic rink on Mount Saint Charles's Woonsocket campus, home of a national hockey powerhouse.
Adelard Arena sits on the campus of Mount Saint Charles, a boarding school in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, and is operated by an affiliate of Black Bear Sports Group. It is best known as the home of Mount Saint Charles Academy hockey, a program built on a legacy of championship hockey that has become a national powerhouse.
The academy has produced 31 NHL draft picks, including two first overall picks, Brian Lawton in 1983 and Bryan Berard, along with four more first-round picks and a Stanley Cup winner, Mathieu Schneider, with the Montreal Canadiens in 1993. It won USA Hockey national championships at U18 in 2021–22 and U14 in 2023–24, and plays in the NorthEast Pack league and The Prep Hockey Conference.
The arena is also home to the national champion Junior Mounties academy program and the Jr Mounties youth hockey organization, which is based at the historic rink.
