Ogden's Olympic curling rink

The Ice Sheet in Ogden was a site of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, and one of its two rinks is still called the Olympic Rink. Curling has stayed: the Ogden Curling Club, the rink's partner organization, runs corporate, private, league and learn-to-curl sessions here.

Hockey fills much of the calendar. The Ogden Hockey League, open to players 18 and older, places adults who register individually on balanced teams and welcomes rookies, beginners and anyone getting back on the ice, while the Wasatch Wings, a women's team, gather weekly to practice and learn the game. A Gear Co-Op takes donated hockey gear to help new players of all ages get started.

Beginners from age 3 to adult can join year-round group classes in figure skating or hockey, including the Learn To Skate program by US Figure Skating, and a party room in the lobby seats about 45 guests.
